On 19th of August 2012 in Pernik a joint campaign on "Alcohol and drugs abuse with subsequent driving prevention" was held by “Open Youth” organization and “Obectiv” association – Youth Information and Consultant Center – Pernik. It included the following activities: training for volunteers at the Municipal Youth Center – Pernik at 10:00 a.m. and an action for all citizens of Pernik at 04:00 p.m. on “Krakra” square.

Participants in the initiative were able to test various alcogoggles, simulating vision under the influence of alcohol and drugs, without actually consuming any as well as other exercises, simulating various risks associated with driving. Citizens saw and experienced the new prevention tool - specifically developed weight calculator, which shows how much a person weighs during a crash at 50, 90 or 130 km/h.
